ANKARA
Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will visit the Uzbek capital Tashkent on Tuesday.
According to a statement by the Foreign Ministry, he will participate in the Tashkent Conference on Afghanistan.
The conference will be opened by Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Uzbek president, and Ashraf Ghani, the Afghan president.
"The countries of the region and the international community will underline their solidarity with the Afghan people and government and reiterate their support to the Afghan peace and reconciliation process," the statement added.
Cavusoglu is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts on the margins of the conference.
