ANKARA
After arriving in Turkey on Friday for a series of talks with Turkish officials, UN Chief Ban Ki-moon spoke to press corps prior to his visit to a camp that shelters Syrian refugees in Islahiye in the southeastern Turkish province of Gaziantep.
Stating his primary topic of his visit to Turkey was the Islahiye camp, "Government and the people of Turkey, you have broad heart for the generosity and friendship. I have so much to say after visiting this camp. Thank you very much for your support," he said.
After visiting the camp, Ban will proceed to Ankara, the Turkish capital, and meet with Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
