The United Nations Security Council extended the duty of the UN Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) until July 31, 2013.
14 members of the Security Council voted in favor of extending the UNFICYP's duty while Azerbaijan abstained.
The Security Council made a call on both sides in Cyprus to continue negotiations.
UNFICYP has around 1,000 personnel in Cyprus and continues its presence in Cyprus in order to prevent any clashes between the two sides.
