ANKARA
World weight-lifting championship will start on Sunday in Poland.
Five women and four men weightlifters from Turkey will compete in the championship, hosted this year by Poland's Wroclaw city.
In the first day of the championship, competitions on women in 48 kilos in A and B Group, and men in 56 kilos in Group C will take place.
Turkish weightlifters will join the contest on October 21 with Aysegul Coban in Group A in 53 kilos and Ismet Algul in Group B in 56 kilos.
The championship will end on October 27.
Turkish national team consists of following sporters:
Women: Aysegul Coban (53 kilos), Hatice Demirel (63 kilos), Sumeyye Kentli and Assiya Ipek (69 kilos), Figen Kaya (75 kilos)
Men: Ismet Algul (56 kilos), Bunyamin Sezer and Ekrem Agilli (69 kilos), Nezir Sagir (94 kilos)
