Five people were feared dead when Boko Haram militants attacked a business school on Friday in Nigeria's northeastern Potiskum town in Yobe State.
"Five people were killed while many others were injured," an official with Nigeria's National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA) told Anadolu Agency.
Militants attacked the college of administration and business studies here in Potiskum early Friday.
Mallam Rabiu Adamu, an eyewitness, said three suspected Boko Haram militants had stormed the school and started shooting sporadically.
"Many people got injured when one of the attackers detonated a bomb strapped to his body. The two others escaped," Adamu told Anadolu Agency.
"Those with critical injuries were taken to Federal Medical Center in Guru; some others with lesser injury were taken to General Hospital Potiskum," he said.
Army spokesman has yet to respond to enquiry about the attack.
