DAMASCUS
Forces loyal to the Syrian regime have killed 61 people, including 11 children and 5 women, in aerial bombardments, says a human rights watchdog.
The Syrian Human Rights Watchdog said in a statement Saturday that President Bashar Assad's forces killed 21 people in suburbs of the capital Damascus, 13 people in Hama, 12 in Aleppo, 6 in Idlib, 4 in Daraa, 2 in Deir-ez Zor and one each in Quneitra, al-Hasakah and Homs.
The Syrian Local Coordination Committee said in a statement that Syrian forces had dropped barrel bombs on opposition held territories and around Kowaires military airbase in Aleppo damaging several settlements.
It added that the humanitarian situation in regions besieged by Assad’s forces - especially in Homs and Hama - is getting worse and aid cannot enter the territories.
Assad 's warplanes and gunships have reportedly bombarded Telbise and Rasten districts of Homs and Jabal Turkmen and Jabal El Ekrad in Latakia, claiming that armed opponents are based there.
