Pakistan's army has claimed to have killed 19 suspected militants with a series of airstrikes in northwestern Pakistan on Wednesday
The army's media wing, Inter Services Public Relations, said it targeted five militant hideouts in the Khyber Agency tribal area.
In its attempts to defeat militants in northwestern Pakistan, the military appears to have shifted its focus from nearby North Waziristan to Khyber Agency in the past month.
The army claims to have killed 1400 since the beginning of its anti-militant operations in North Waziristan on June 15.
