• German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne signed a joint declaration on energy solidarity.
• The German parliament is planning to adopt a resolution next week to declare the starvation of millions of Ukrainians under Joseph Stalin a “genocide,” according to media reports.
• Two Chinese vessels entered Japan's territorial waters around a chain of disputed islands in the East China Sea.
• A prominent tribal leader was killed by unidentified assailants in Iran’s southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan provinces.
• The Azerbaijani president said his country will do its best to protect Azerbaijanis across the world, including those in Iran.
• Meanwhile, a planned peace meeting next month between Azerbaijan and Armenia has been called off because of Armenia’s insistence on involving France, according to Azerbaijan’s president.
• The Turkish president lashed out at international politicians, non-governmental organizations and the media for their lack of reaction against the latest YPG/PKK terror attacks that killed three civilians, including a child and a teacher, in southeastern Türkiye.
• The PKK/YPG terror group recruited nearly 300 people in Germany who traveled to Syria and Iraq to fight alongside the group, according to the German government.
