ALGERIA
A spokesperson for Ansar al-Din has denied allegations that Algeria had offered a peace plan to end the crisis in Mali.
Sanad Ould Bouamama told The Anadolu Agency that Algeria had made no such proposal, adding that the allegation was made by a Algerian newspaper.
The Algerian daily, 'al-Haber', has said the Algerian plan had suggested that all armed groups in Azawad region in northern Mali withdrew from major cities, control points along international borders and on major highways.
Armed groups took over large parts of northern Mali following a March coup attempt in the country's capital Bamako.
