British Airways' (BA) plane en route from British capital London to Dubai made an emergency landing early on Thursday at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport after oil leak from the engine.
Boeing 777-200 type plane took off from London with its 228 passengers.
Once the pilot noticed the oil leak, the BA team contacted the air traffic control tower at Ataturk Airport and asked for an emergency landing permission.
After a safe landing, the plane was taken into maintenance and passengers were sent to hotels.
