Several people were killed and many wounded late on Monday when an explosive-laden vehicle blew up in the Syrian town of Darkush near Turkey, local sources told AA.
Renewed clashes are reported following the attack between the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and al-Qaeda-linked Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
Most of the injured were carried to medical centers in Darkush, with eight brought into the Turkish town of Hacipasa and taken to hospital in the province of Hatay.
300 Syrians reportedly fled the violence and came to Turkey over the town of Karbeyaz following the attack. They went back to their homeland shortly after the clashes died down in the part of the region where they live.
The explosion is said to have been heard in Turkish border towns.
