Lebanese militant group Hezbollah condemned Friday's twin bomb attacks that killed at least 32 people in the city of Tripoli, saying the attacks were "the latest steps of a project to drag the country into chaos".
"We condemn the terror attack which was carried out in order to drive the country into an atmosphere full of chaos and destruction," the group said in a written statement.
It said the militant group "stands by the Lebanese people in such a difficult time", adding the group shared the suffering.
Friday's bomb attacks in the city of Tripoli, which targeted two mosques in the city killed at least 32 people and left more than 300 wounded.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry strongly condemned Friday twin bomb attacks in Lebanon's Tripoli that killed at least 32 people and injured more than 300 others.
"We condemn Friday's blasts in Tripoli which has been the symbol of joint history and cultural legacy between Turkish and Lebanese peoples," said a statement released by the ministry.
"Just one week after a terrorist attack in Beirut, this time simultaneous attacks in Tripoli near worship sites after Friday prayer raised concerns that a play is staged to destabilize Lebanon. It is worth emphasizing that all sides should behave unselfish and prudently to guarantee stability of Lebanon and social harmony."
Turkish FM condemns twin bombings in Lebanon
Speaking to journalists at Rome's Ciampino Airport at the end of his two-day Europe trip with Syria and Egypt high on the agenda, Ahmet Davutoglu expressed his sorrow about the increasing number of attacks in Lebanon, and condemned the latest one targeting two Sunni mosques in Tripoli.
"Regardless of their sect, all the Lebanese are our brothers," said Davutoglu, announcing that he would talk to outgoing Lebanese Premier Najib Miqati about the attacks.
In addition, according to diplomatic sources, Davutoglu discussed an upcoming intergovernmental summit between Turkey and Italy with his Italian counterpart Emma Bonino, as well as a meeting of 10th Turkish-Italian Forum, co-organized by the Turkish and Italian foreign ministries with an eye to strengthen bilateral dialogue.
