KILIS
Syrian children form more than one third of the 12 thousand people living in the container city in southern town of Kilis.
Syrian citizens who fled from the heavy attacks in Syria, seek shelter in Turkey.
Director of Kilis Community Health, Dr.Emin Arslan said that since last March, 241 newborns joined the container city in Kilis and informed AA about the rest of their services for infants.
"Under the supervision of Turkish Ministry of Health and Turkish Community Health Establishment, whatever the medical services that Turkish toddlers and children receive; from vaccinations to routine checks, we provide the same services for Syrian children, too," said Arslan and added that each day they work with 3 nurses and 2 doctors.
Dr.Arslan added that they receive the newborn list from the central hospital and distribute vaccination and hold routine checks for free.
Moreover, Arslan expressed that they track the list of children who miss their vaccinations and then they go door to door to call mothers and children to come in for their checks.
