Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Wednesday met with Jordan's King Abdullah II, who pays a formal visit in the Turkish capital, Ankara.
Turkish diplomatic with insight to the meeting said, the Jordanian king and the top Turkish diplomat had discussed the latest developments in Syria as well as possible joint future steps by Turkey and Jordan, two of the most affected countries in the region from fallout from the two-year-old conflict which according to the UN had killed more than 60,000 people.
Sources said the two had also exchanged views over talks held during a recent Mideast tour by the US secretary of state, John F. Kerry, and they had discussed Middle East peace process.
