Here is a rundown of all the news that you need to start your Tuesday, including death toll of Palestinians killed in Gaza by Israeli forces nearing 22,000, destruction in Japan after massive quakes, and stabbing of South Korea’s opposition leader.

At least 165 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, the enclave's Health Ministry said on Monday.
This brought the death toll of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces since Oct. 7 to 21,978.
According to Ashraf al-Qudra, spokesman for the ministry, the number of injured in Gaza has also risen to 57,697, nearly 70% of them being women and children.
Around 326 medical staff have been killed by the Israeli army, he added.
Many houses collapsed and railway services were temporarily suspended in some areas of Japan after large earthquakes hit the country, triggering a major tsunami warning.
The East Japan Railway Co. said they suspended operations of all Tohoku, Joetsu, and Hokuriku Shinkansen lines due to the quakes.
With power lines damaged, some 32,500 homes in the Ishikawa prefecture lost power.
Three successive strong earthquakes with magnitudes of 5.7, 6.1, and 7.6 jolted Japan, leading to a tsunami warning.
South Korea's opposition leader Lee Jae-myung was stabbed in the neck during a press conference in the southern port city of Busan on Tuesday.
Lee was stabbed on the left side of his neck during a question and answer session with journalists.
The attacker was apprehended at the scene and Lee received emergency treatment and was rushed to hospital.

Liverpool hammered Newcastle United 4-2 in an English Premier League week 20 match.
Egyptian star Mohamed Salah scored twice for his team - in the 49th minute when he converted a chance from a pass by Darwin Nunez, and in the 86th minute when he netted from a penalty kick.
Liverpool grabbed the Premier League top seat with 45 points.
English Premier League side Manchester United said Donny Van de Beek had joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan.
The Dutchman will join the Bundesliga side for the remainder of the 2023-24 season, according to a statement.
Van de Beek helped Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam bag the 2019 Dutch Eredivisie title and reach the 2019 UEFA Champions League semifinals.

Landlocked Ethiopia signed an initial agreement with Somalia’s breakaway region of Somaliland that will give it access to the sea through the Red Sea port of Berbera.
The memorandum of understanding was signed between Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Somaliland President Muse Bihi Abdi in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.
