Kilis Governor Yusuf Odabas said on Monday that 21 wounded people had been taken to Kilis State Hospital for treatment.
These people were injured when Syrian security forces opened fire between Azaz twon and Salama border gate in Syria as of 3:30 a.m. today.
Wounded people began to cross in Turkey via Kilis by walking on mine-planted zone as of 9:00 a.m. today, said Odabas.
Two of the wounded unfortunately died, said Odabas, adding that one of the severely wounded Syrian was transferred to Gaziantep Medical Faculty Hospital.
Two Turkish citizens, police officer Ali Kaplan and translator Sevgi Topal, were also slightly injured when Syrian security forces opened fire on opponents, he added.
Odabas said that crossings from Oncupinar border gate in Turkish side were halted.
