ALEPPO
While the ongoing operations are intensifying in parts of Aleppo, northern Syria, the opponents of the Assad regime retain 70 percent of the city.
The opponents of the Assad regime had moved from defence to attack, in the city heavily bombed by Assad forces' planes.
The opponents gained control of the city following the intense fight between the Al-Fajr Al-Islam brigade of the Free Syrian Army and the Assad forces.
Commander of Al-Fajr Al-Islam brigade Ebu Salih stated that they have cornered the Assad forces and they were losing power day by day.
At the same time, the small number of people left behind living in the area began fleeing as well. Observers say this is an indication of Assad forces bombing residential areas.
