Pakistan's army killed at least 20 suspected Taliban fighters in air strikes Friday.
According to the army's media wing, Inter Services Public Relations, they targeted militant hideouts in northwestern Khyber Agency.
"Twenty terrorists including some of their important commanders were killed in precise aerial strikes in remote areas of Khyber Agency today. About 18 terrorists were also injured in the strikes," the army said.
Khyber Agency, one of the seven semi-autonomous tribal areas of Pakistan, has been a battleground between the army and Taliban-linked Lashkar-e-Islam militants since October.
The army claim to have killed 350 militants since launching military operations in Khyber Agency, though media are not given access to verify the casualties.
The military operation has displaced around 500,000 tribesmen from Khyber Agency.
