A 24-year-old Palestinian man in the town of Birzeit near Ramallah was killed following an hours-long siege on his home by Israeli security forces.
Motaz Washaha, a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) was found dead after Israeli troops withdrew from his home, which was besieged for several hours after the Palestinians inside had refused to open their doors to Israeli security forces.
The Israeli authorities partially demolished the house in order to enter it and arrested three people, the eyewitnesses said.
"Washaha died after he was shot in the head," Palestinian Red Crescent spokesman Mohamed Ayyad told Anadolu Agency.
According to medical sources, 14 Palestinian were injured by rubber bullets during clashes that have remained ongoing in the town since early morning between Palestinian youths and Israeli forces.
"Israeli forces bombed the house of a former detainee and arrested three Palestinians: Ramez Washaha, Fadi Sidqi and Samer al-Qisi," the Prisoners Affairs Minister confirmed to AA.
"Israeli Forces besieged the house since 3am," he added.
Israeli forces routinely conduct raids in the West Bank claiming to be looking for "wanted" Palestinians.
