France’s consul general in Istanbul Muriel Domenach said that the Paris attacks that claimed 130 lives will not affect visa policy.
Domenach stated that the Paris attacks will not change France's visa policy.
"We want Turkish tourists, students, businessmen and youth to come to France because Turks coming to France is in our interest,” she said.
Domenach further said: "Within the Schengen rules, Turkish students that completed their graduate degree recently will be given one-year visa as of Jan. 1, 2016. This is a very important step."
She also added the number of visa applications have not dropped following the Paris attacks since they are issued visas easily and rapidly.
The multiple gun-and-bomb attacks in Paris on Nov. 13 killed 130 people in total and left dozens of others injured.
