BAKU (AA) - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is up for the presidential election again.
The ruling New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) said in a statement that Aliyev applied Central Election Committee as candidate for the presidential election to be held on October 9.
YAP had nominated Aliyev in June as its candidate to run for a third term in the presidential election, however Aliyev had not announced his candidacy in person.
