MOSCOW
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Monday announced that the Moscow government had no change of opinion in regards to the Syria crisis.
"Russia is in favor of an independent and undivided Syria where all people live in peace, stability and democracy," the minister said during his Syrian counterpart Walid al-Mualem's Moscow visit.
Stating that "this historical country should not be destructed," Lavrov said that they would discuss what is needed to be done to prevent the environment of dialogue from being ruined.
Lavrov also added that "Syrians possessed the power to resolve their own issues without external interference."
