Saudi Arabia said Thursday that it had received 29 "wanted" nationals from neighboring Yemen.
According to Interior Ministry spokesman Mansur al-Turki, the extradition of wanted individuals comes as part of ongoing security cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Yemen, according to Saudi's official SPA news agency.
Al-Turki, however, declined to reveal the names or political affiliations of the extradited nationals.
But according to media reports, the 29 individuals had entered Yemen illegally to join an Al-Qaeda group based in the crisis-prone Arab country.
On Tuesday, Yemen's Interior Ministry said the country had extradited 29 Al-Qaeda members wanted by Saudi Arabia.
Yemen, Saudi Arabia's southern neighbor, is a hotbed for the shadowy group dubbed "Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula."
