BAKU
Turkey's newly appointed Ambassador in Baku, Ismail Alper Coskun on Wednesday said that serving in Azerbaijan was a duty with high responsibilities.
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA) after presenting his diplomatic credentials to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Coskun said that "during the one week I have been in Azerbaijan, I have been received in the best way possible by Azerbaijani officials".
"Turkey-Azerbaijan relations are at an excellent point based on an understanding of 'two states-one nation'. This is a great privilege for an ambassador serving in Baku. It also brings high responsibility," Coskun noted.
"My aim is to be worthy of the trust that the Azerbaijani people have in us. An important platform was established here with the recent visit of our Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. There are many projects for the future. We will continue to work to promote our relations. This will be my aim," Coskun also said.
