Somalian Prime Minister Abdiweli Mohamed Ali said that he was grateful for Turkey's pivotal contributions to his country, and added "Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was like a miracle coming from God".
Attending International Contacts Group on Somalia in Rome, Abdiweli Mohamed Ali had a talk with Turkish media.
Replying a question, Abdiweli Mohamed Ali eulogized Turkey's significant contributions to Somalia.
Prime Minister Ali mentioned that Turkish PM Erdogan played a key role for whole assistance in the country.
"Now there is a Turkish model in Somalia. You came to our country at all hands, builded education centers, hospitals, provided infrastructure services that were what all Somalia needed. We had been suffering from drought, and Erdogan came to us to share our sorrow," said Ali.
Ali also was grateful for Turkey's scholarships for Somalian students.
In last six months, Turkish government gave scholarships to 1,500 students, and this number is equal to whole international society's scholarship in 40 years. Turkey achieved this in six months, stated Ali.
Mentioning the transition time will be over on August 20 in his country, "Before and after this date, we were expecting political and financial supports from the international society. Somalian people are expecting that 21st August would be better than 20th August. People want more building and construction, want business opportunities to be created," said Ali.
We have to fulfill the expectations. If not, our government and international society will lose their credibility and liability, stated Ali.
