DAMASCUS (AA) - July 27, 2012 - Free Syrian Army (FSA) announced that Syrian soldiers were getting prepared to stage a huge attack by warplanes and tanks on Aleppo city.
Memun Gizzi, a commander with FSA, claimed that over 100 tanks were dispatched from Hama and Damascus to Aleppo, and the attack would be staged on Friday.
Gizzi said that people were concerned and some of the families began to leave the region.
He added that Syrian army was already attacking the outskirts of Aleppo by tanks at night and by helicopters and war planes during the day.
Gizzi said he feared a high death toll if Syrian army staged an attack.
Meanwhile, AA correspondent in the region said that clashes escalated in Aleppo after Syrian army transferred more than 100 tanks to the city, adding that FSA destroyed two of the tanks which departed from Idlib.

Free Syrian Army is hoisting its flag on the buildings it seized in Syrian city of Aleppo.
While Syrian soldiers are getting prepared to stage a huge attack in Aleppo by warplanes and tanks, FSA hoists its flag at the military buildings and government offices.
FSA is also erasing the slogans which praise President Bashar al-Assad, and removing his pictures, and writing messages which support FSA in their stead.
