Deputy Mayor of Duris village of Lebanon, Ali Goorli thanked Turkish Embassy in Beirut, Anadolu Agency's (AA) Chairman of the Board and Director General Kemal Ozturk and the Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief (IHH)for their support to the Syrian Turkmens.
Turkmen families who ran away from the Cusi village of Syria located 60 kilometers from Lebanon's border, sought refuge in the Baalbeck town's Duris village in Lebanon.
The Awareness and Consolation Association of Lebanon in conjunction with IHH, provided humanitarian aid to the 200 Turkmen families living in difficult conditions.
Turkmen families also expressed their gratitude to AA and stated that they expected more help to arrive.
Anadolu Agency's (AA) Chairman of the Board and Director General Kemal Ozturk had visited the Turkmen refugees and listened to their problems during his Lebanon visit for the inauguration of AA's Beirut Office.
