MINYA (AA) - Three people died, including two policemen, and 22 others were wounded on Thursday when a police truck flipped over near the Dalga village in the southern province of Minya.
A source in the ambulance authority said that the truck flipped over and collided with a tractor after a tyre exploded while entering the village.
Twenty-two people, including 18 policemen, were injured in the accident.
The Public Prosecution has been notified to start an investigation into the accident.
A security source has ruled out a criminal motive behind the accident.
Egyptian security forces stormed the Dalga village a few weeks ago with the stated aim of arresting suspects in attacks on churches and police stations.
However, opponents of the July 3 military overthrow of elected President Mohamed Morsi say that the operation aimed to punish supporters of the ousted leader.
