Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Dervis Eroglu has said that they set up committees with the Greek Cypriot side to take confidence-building measures.
Eroglu attended a reception hosted by the Federation of Turkish-American Associations in New York in his honor.
Turkish Ambassador in Washington Namik Tan, Turkey's Permanent Representative at the UN, Ambassador Ertugrul Apakan and other officials participated in the reception.
There has been a deadlock in the Cyprus negotiations as the Greek Cypriots has become the rotating president of the EU, he said.
"We set up committees with the Greek Cypriot side to take confidence-building measures. Current talks are held between these committees," he said.
