ANKARA
Turkish Red Crescent Society (TRCS) announced they sent food aid to Palestine in 3,000 large boxes.
Turkish Red Crescent made a statement saying, the charity has been working on projects for permanent peace and welfare.
TRCS after having assessed the needs of Palestinians decided to send food ratios in 3,000 large boxes which were loaded at Mersin Port, to a ship en route to Israel’s Ashdod Port.
TRCS said in the statement:
"Turkish Red Crescent Society, acting on its international rights, is able to supply to get off the aid materials to Palestine via Israel without any problem. Authorities are given priority to Turkish trucks in the Kerem Shaloms’ border station, which was closed due to security measures for a week. Food parcels were unloaded to a depot, which belongs to Palestine Crescent. Food parcels will be delivered to the people, who are really in need."
