Turks were among 'the behind-the-curtain heroes' of US President Barack Obama's second election victory who worked day and night visiting voters door-to-door especially in battleground states.
Burak Yeneroglu, a Turkish-American citizen who runs his own company, and is the first Turk ever to be selected a member to the Obama National Finance Committee.
"We went everywhere Obama went. We were up on the front as there were no other group working like we did. So, Obama has called us personally and thanked us," Yeneroglu said.
Yeneroglu added that they also set up a group called "Turks for Obama" and a website, which he said was the only site included on Democratic Party's official page.
