ISLAMABAD
At least four suspected militants have been killed in a U.S. drone strike the second within 24 hours in North Waziristan, officials have said.
A senior army official told The Anadolu Agency on Monday that the drone fired two missiles at the headquarters of a senior Taliban commander, named Habibullah, in the Mangawati area of the remote Shawal valley on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
There was no immediate information whether Habibullah was killed.
Five suspected militants were also killed in a drone strike Sunday in Shawwal, the current launch pad for the Taliban who have been pushed out from their main towns of North Waziristan by an ongoing military offensive.
