ANKARA (AA) - Russian President Vladimir Putin took upon his position about G-8 summit on June 17-18 and said that not only the voice of G-8 member countries but also the voice of developing countries was heard in G-8 after the participation of Russia to G-8.
Putin also said that Syria crisis, the Near East, North Africa, Afghanistan and also economic developments will be discussed as political themes in the G-8 Summit.
In addition to political themes, the themes of the development of taxation systems, the gearing up of state administration, and also international and regional trade will also be discussed on June 17 and 18 in North Ireland.
-IMF does need reform process-
Putin pointed out that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) did need a certain reform process.
"IMF is inadequate to find solution for economic problems and also global crisis. IMF should keep up with financial condition of the world, and especially the active and updated decision process," stressed Putin.
-Off-shore accounts caused structural instability of economy -
Putin stressed the structural instability of world economy, saying, "One of the most important ways to make up the structural instability of world economy is to clash off-shore accounts. Off-shore accounts are the accounts in which the capital of black-marketeering and illegal capital get accumulated."
-The membership of WTO not to change Russia-
Putin also touched upon Russia's membership to the World Trade Organization (WTO), adding, "After the long and nontrivial negotiation process, we were a member of WTO. We have agreed with WTO on the hundreds of tariffs and national laws and regulation. The WTO membership of Russia does not mean that everything will be greatly changed and new game rules will be applied in Russia."
