Somali President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed said that everybody wanted Somalia to get rid of the tragedy it was currently experiencing.
Speaking at the 2nd Somalia Conference in Istanbul on Friday, Ahmed said that the conference would be a turning point for Somalia.
Ahmed thanked Turkey for its help to his country, adding that the conference aimed to find a permanent solution to Somali crisis.
Turkey met the assistance need of Somalia with non-governmental organizations and political officials, said Ahmed, adding that the conference would be a new period for Somalia as well as a beginning for international efforts for Somalia.
Ahmed said that Kenya, Ethiopia and Djibouti extended military assistance to Somalia, stressing that military and security assistance was important to end terrorism in the country.
Ahmed said that Somali transition government was cooperating with national and international actors, adding that they wanted national resources to be shared equally and management to be transparent.
