Many Syrians who were wounded in incidents in their country received medical treatment in border provinces of Turkey.
Especially those who have been wounded in Syria's Aleppo province were brought to Turkey via the Oncupinar Border Gate.
Those who are in serious condition were sent to surrounding provinces from the Kilis State Hospital.
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA), the Secretary General of Kilis Union of Public Hospitals, Sedat Cakici reminded that city of Kilis which is also center of the Kilis province was 10 kilometers away from Syria.
"Those who have been wounded in Aleppo are brought to Kilis," Cakici stressed.
"Since March 2012, we have treated 56,000 Syrian nationals. We performed surgeries on 2,500 Syrian nationals. More than 3,000 Syrians have received treatment in our clinics. 13,000 refugees go through medical treatment in the camp. We have provided medical services to 6,000 wounded Syrians," Cakici noted.
"Individuals who have been wounded by guns come here. Despite the medical treatment provided, 168 Syrians have lost their lives," Cakici underlined.
"Individuals with similar gun wounds come and receive treatment in the emergency departments. We work in coordination with the Gaziantep province to help treat Syrians," Cakici indicated.
"Kilis State Hospital has a capacity of 162 beds and 19 intensive care units. We work with Gaziantep most of the time. When large numbers of wounded Syrians come, we receive support from Osmaniye, Adana, Sanliurfa and Kahramanmaras provinces," Cakici said.
