A strong 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck off central Vanuatu in the South Pacific Ocean, according to the US Geological Survey.
The earthquake struck 102 km (63 miles) northeast of the town of Norsup in Malampa province.
There was no immediate reports of damage from the strong tremor.
