Australian composer and singer Chet Faker comes to Istanbul
Australian electronica musician Nicholas James Murphy, aka ‘Chet Faker,’ will perform at Istanbul’s Babylon concert hall on November 1st.
Born in Australia, Nick Murphy played for an electronic/dance duo band called Sunday Kicks at the beginning of his career. He decided to play under the name ‘Chet Faker’ as a reference to Chet Baker, the renowned jazz trumpeter.
Despite his young age, Chet Faker is considered as one of the most influential artists in the electronic music genre.
He released his debut album “Built on Glass” in April 2014.

The internationally renowned soprano Sarah Brightman to perform in Istanbul
Known for her inspiring and fascinating performances, Sarah Brightman will take to the stage at Ulker Sports Arena on November 9, as part of the “Good Music in Town Concerts” series, which Yapi Kredi is sponsoring to celebrate the Turkish bank's 70th anniversary.

Istanbul hosts ‘Magnificent Century: The Great Exhibition’
Turkey’s cultural capital is hosting an unusual exhibition titled ‘‘Magnificent Century: The Great Exhibition” of costumes, decorations and accessories used in a popular Turkish television series on life of the 16th century Ottoman sultan, Suleyman the Magnificent.
Visitors will have the chance to look at accessories used in the four-season Turkish series, “Magnificent Century,” which was also broadcast in the Middle East and in the Balkans.
After a world premiere in Istanbul on November 26 in the newly-opened Uniq Istanbul Culture and Art Center in the Maslak district, the exhibition will go on a world tour.

Qatari artist Amal Al-Aathem’s first Istanbul exhibition
Amal Al-Aathem’s first solo exhibition in Istanbul can be seen until 29 November at Gallery Artist, in Besiktas.
Entitled “The Moon Dialogue,” the display focuses on a symbolic dialogue between a woman and the moon proceeding to existential orbit, according to the gallery.
Aathem is the first Qatari woman artist who opened an exhibition in Istanbul.
