Turkish stocks up at Wednesday close

ANKARA

Turkey’s benchmark stock index closed Wednesday at 1,427.06 points, up 1.92% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 1,413.12 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index has gained 26.84 points from Tuesday's close of 1,400.22 points.

One ounce of gold traded for $1,910.10 by market close, up from $1,881.50 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $68.72 per barrel as of 6.28 p.m. local time (1528GMT).
