Saudi Arabia's Civil Defense issued brief threat alerts for Riyadh and the Najran province on Sunday to warn of "a potential danger."
"The danger has passed" in the two areas, the Civil Defense later said on US social media platform X, calling on people to follow official instructions and to "avoid gathering and filming."
Earlier Sunday, Saudi authorities also issued brief alerts for Buqayq province, Al Ahsa province, and Dammam city, later lifting them after the threat had passed.
Yemen has been embroiled in a civil war since 2014, when the Houthis took control of the capital Sanaa and several other provinces.
The Saudi-led coalition began military operations in 2015 in support of Yemen's internationally recognized government.
Fighting between Yemeni government forces and the Houthis has intensified in recent months. The Iran-backed group has repeatedly targeted Saudi Arabia, including aviation sites, with ballistic missiles and drones.
