DAMASCUS
A total of 58 people including 7 children and 7 women were killed in several cities of Syria on Thursday in operations staged by forces loyal to the Syrian regime, activists said.
Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), a London-based group that tracks civilian and dissident casualties, said that Assad forces killed 16 in Damascus, 13 in Aleppo, 8 in Dera'a, 7 in Hama, 6 in Homs, 4 in Idlib, 3 in Deir al-Zor and one in Latakia in air and land offensives.
Meanwhile, Syria Local Coordination Committee (LCC) stated that Assad forces held artillery attacks on Al Rashidiya region of Aleppo city following the Free Syrian Army taking over the control of the area.
LCC noted, many houses were destroyed and serious damages were left after Syrian army units attacked Halidiya region of Homs by using heavy weapons.
SANA, Syrian national news agency, announced that regime forces made major gains against opposition fighters in operations across the country.
