BRUSSELS
Chairman of euro zone finance ministers Jeroen Dijsselbloem said there is reason for optimism on reaching an agreement to Greece’s bailout deal, which expires on Feb.28.
Dijsselbloem told reporters in Brussels on Friday: "it is quite complicated. I am talking to the main players trying to find a solution. It will cost some time, but there is still reason for some optimism, but it is very difficult."
Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis also said he hopes there will be an agreement on Greece’s €240 billion ($274 billion) bailout on Friday.
Greece must rebuild trust with Eurozone countries to clinch a deal with other countries on further financing in exchange for reforms, the European Commission's Vice President for the euro Valdis Dombrovskis said on Friday.
"Unfortunately the changing rhetoric of the Greek authorities have created a certain erosion of trust, so we must build this once again at this Eurogroup meeting and we are hopeful a solution can be found based on the current program," Dombrovskis said
