Two Israeli border guards were wounded on Friday in confrontations with Palestinian stone-throwers in the town of Abu Dis in Al-Quds (occupied East Jerusalem).
Israeli forces used gunfire to disperse the protesters, Israeli radio said.
Nine Palestinians were injured, including two seriously, in violent clashes with Israeli forces in the two Palestinian towns of Abu Dis and al-Eizariya late Friday.
"One of the Palestinians was shot in the chest," Fatah leader Anwar Badr told Anadolu Agency. "He is in a critical situation."
Violence was triggered by the death of a 14-year-old Palestinian girl at an Israeli checkpoint on Thursday. The sick girl died after Israeli soldiers hampered her arrival to hospital.
