ANKARA
NBA Western Conference team Denver Nuggets' power forward Kenneth Faried has agreed a four-year deal with the club valued at $50 million.
According to an unconfirmed AP report featured on NBA.com, the 24-year-old international – who helped guide his country to victory in the World Cup in September and was chosen for the tournament's ‘All-Star Five’ – renewed his deal after negotiations.
The Western Conference side had until October 31 to negotiate a new contract otherwise the physical player – nicknamed ‘Manimal’ – would have become a restricted free agent next summer.
Throughout his three-year NBA career, Faried averaged 12.1 points, taking 8.6 rebounds per game. Last season he made a career-high 13.7-points average.
