Turkish karate player Enes Erkan won Saturday gold medal in +84kg Kumite in the World Karate Championship in Paris.
Erkan defeated his Azeri rival Sahin Atamov 3-0 in the finals to claim the top title.
Erkan was the first Turkish karate player to win a gold medal in six years in an adult karate event.
Turkish karate players Seyda Burcu and Yavuz Karamollaogu won silver and bronze medals, respectively, in the championship.
