Three Syrian children were killed in Russian airstrikes on Thursday in the northern city of Aleppo.
Russian jet fighters struck a residential area in Endan town in Aleppo, killing three children and injuring 10 other civilians, according to civil defense sources.
The sources said that rescuers were struggling to search for survivors under the debris of destroyed buildings in the town.
More than 1,730 civilians have been killed since Russia launched airstrikes against opposition forces in Syria in September, according to a report by Syria's main opposition bloc, the Syrian National Coalition (SNC).
Syria has remained locked in a vicious civil war since early 2011 when the regime of President Bashar al-Assad cracked down on pro-democracy protests with unexpected ferocity.
Since then, more than 250,000 people have been killed and more than 10 million displaced, according to figures released by the UN.
