Anadolu Agency (AA) is planning to open an office in Egypt.
AA Executive Board President and Director General Kemal Ozturk said on Thursday that historical relations between Turkey and Egypt would be boosted with the office that the AA would open in that country.
"AA aims to broadcast 4,000 stories a day in the following eight years, and targets at becoming one of the top five news agencies in the world on its centennial anniversary," Ozturk said as he met Egyptian State Information Center's head Ismail Khairat in Cairo.
Kemal Ozturk briefed Khairat on AA's projects and targets and centennial vision, and said AA would cooperate with Egyptian Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and official news agency MENA.
Ozturk is visiting the Egyptian capital to promote AA's broadcast in Arabic and boost cooperation.
