Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek said on Monday that prosperity and stability in Black Sea basin could be ensured with improvement of economic cooperation.
Parliament Speaker Cicek, who is visiting Azerbaijan to attend a meeting of Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), delivered a speech at the Black Sea Trade & Investment Forum.
Black Sea basin offered several economic opportunities with its strategic location and 330 million population, he said.
Cicek said that the international community and international powers attached a great interest in the region which had a great economic potential and natural resources.
BSEC was regarded as the basic platform in regional cooperation by the international community, he said.
"All of us should work harder to enhance cooperation", he added.
