Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that Germany's Ambassador in Ankara Eberhard Pohl was summoned to Turkey's Foreign Ministry on Friday.
Davutoglu who is currently in the Ukrainian city of Odessa to attend the 28th Council of Foreign Ministers of the Black Sea Cooperation Organization said they told Pohl that the Turkish government felt uncomfortable about certain statements of the German government about Turkey.
Davutoglu said that he had a phone call with Turkey's Ambassador in Berlin Huseyin Avni Karslioglu and added, " He received an invitation yesterday. I talked to him before his meeting. He was told about some opinions. And our ambassador gave answers which reflect our perspective."
Davutoglu also mentioned that they felt uncomfortable about certain statements of Germany and that they summoned German Ambassador to Turkey Pohl, who also made some statements on Friday.
Diplomatic sources told AA that ambassador Pohl was currently not in Ankara and that a German diplomat would go to the Turkish Foreign Ministry as his proxy.
