DAMASCUS
Assad government made a formal complaint to the UN over Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt and France for supporting terror in Syria and threatening peace in the region.
Syria's official news agency SANA stated that Syrian Foreign Ministry sent a formal complaint letter each about Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt and France for supporting terror in Syria and threatening peace in the region to the UN Secreteriat and UN Security Council.
Syria’s Foreign Ministry issued complaints about Arab Muslim scholars including Egyptian-born cleric Yusuf al-Qaradawi and Saudi Mohammad Al-Areefi and many others, claiming that edicts issued by Arab Muslim scholars called for jihad.
The Assad regime also condemned the conference carried out to support Syrian people in Cairo in June 11 and 12 and accused Egypt of having responsibility in the massacres.
