BAKU
Turkish Minister of Labor and Social Security, Faruk Celik on Friday met with the Azerbaijani Health Minister Oqtay Shiraliyev in Baku.
Speaking to reporters while meeting Shiraliyev, Minister Celik said that he was in Azerbaijan at an invitation by his Azerbaijani counterpart Fizuli Alekperov to attend the 7th meeting of Joint Committee of Turkey-Azerbaijan Labor and Social Security.
I held fruitful talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Chairman of the Azerbaijani Social Security Fund Selim Muslumov and Azerbaijani State Migration Service Chief Firudin Nabiyev, Celik stressed.
"While meeting President Aliyev, we decided to establish a high level working group between the labor ministries of our two countries which would work on issues such as migration of services, social security, employment of foreign nationals, health, and personnel services," Celik noted.
The group will meet in Ankara in the first week of August, Celik stated.
The meetings to be held would be to the benefit of the two countries, Celik stressed.
"Your benefits are our benefits and our benefits are your benefits. We will work so as to eradicate problems. There are 43,000 Turkish citizens living in Azerbaijan and 17,000 Azerbaijani citizens living in Turkey. I had come to Baku four years ago. Since then, there have been many important changes in Baku. It will get even better in the next four years. Turkey, likewise, is a respected country with stability and in which people have confidence. We need to conduct works so as to add strength to our existing power. We need to mutually eradicate certain deficiencies," Celik underlined.
